Howdy all . . .

Yeah, I’ve been busy.  Editing and creating liturgy is hideously involved but the reward will be worth it.  I just read recently, where Justin Martyr (2nd century apologist) describes Christian worship like a new covenant synagogue; that is, the Christians worshipped like the Jews (why wouldn’t they since most were Jewish!), but with New Covenant themes and innovations.  Martyr describes it as letourgia, that is, a “liturgy.”

Anyhoo, the point of this poost is to draw your attention to the box to the right for the sermon archives at Rock Church.  We have recently begun podcasting, so, welcome to the 21st century– to the oldest church in the Greenwood region.  I hope you enjoy the sermons, but more importantly I pray you are offended at the Gospel like I am.  I find more and more that I love my sin and need my Saviour more and ironically in the daily grind of being a worldly saint, liturgy such as the Daily Office (I have completed a reformed Breviary) provide the covenantal structure I need for the day–to John Owen’s credit, it helps wit mortification :)

Blessings to you all
