Rock Presbyterian Church

Rock Presbyterian Church

If you happen to be visiting the area and you are looking for a family-oriented church, Rock is the place for you!  We have a rich history and heritage.  Rock Church was one of the early church plants in the South by the New York Synod in 1770.  Rock left the PCUS in 1973 and joined the fledgling Presbyterian Church in America, which she left in 1998.  Rock was independent for 10 years until she was received into the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in 2008.

If you are looking for traditional, liturgical and reformed worship then this is the place.  Our worship is patterned after the church of Scotland– a half-way point between the Anglican Church and the Baptists.  As the worship trends and tides wave strong up and down, we hope to be a beacon of light, that our worship has remained constant and strong and informed by Scripture– a place to renew our covenant every Sabbath and enjoy the benefits of Christ’s empowerment, blessing and presence; that we may be a people filled with the Holy Spirit!

We desire to see our families strengthened and growing, both numerically and spiritually as a family of believers, not just people who fill a spot on Sunday.  We meet regularly on Sunday morning for Sunday School (10 AM) and worship (11 AM).  We have small group Bible study beginning this Summer on Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM.  Come grow with us and help us spread the Gospel by living and being the Gospel!  Visit our website at http://www.rockpres.org
